How does an industry icon re-brand itself and gain the attention of the market all in one seamless project?
If you've gone through any of the other projects here on our site, you're probably becoming aware that Brightwork is more than just a website company. We're practitioners of a holistic approach to marketing with a particular emphasis on the value and leverage of the internet.So when Watermark Yacht Consulting, a brand new entity formed by a well-known industry leader and spokesman, notified us of their needs, we were elated to take on the challenge. Among our immediate tasks, we were to develop an entirely new and different brand identity for the company as well as create on online presence that would act as both a marketing vehicle and as a tool for their various clients to use in developing their own respective businesses.
Due to Watermark's functionally different business model, we felt we needed to present the company as a new player amongst the old guard. Watermark was given a brand-new graphic moniker designed strategically to stand out against the field of traditional industry players with a dynamic use of lines and color juxtaposed along-side of traditional typography.
Brightwork then set out to deploy the new brand across an array of print and new-media applications. The website, rather than utilize flash as a traditional site opening trigger, was embedded with a small flash animation that presented the company's unique selling proposition once the site had loaded - thus avoiding the annoyance of a cumbersome pre-load. In addition, we fitted the website with a custom interface that allowed both retail and industry clients to browse and shop through an immense database of charter and brokerage yachts.
