Medi-Share "Real Hope Stories" Viral Campaign

How does the largest Christian health-sharing network in America engage its member base and grow?

Medi-Share has been a longtime client of Brightwork having engaged us over the years for everything from strategic marketing plans to web design & development to direct mail & email campaigns and everything in between. Our challenge in this case was to utilize the tons and tons of member testimonials that the company has received as a tool to accomplish a diverse set of goals:
  1. Strengthen the relationship between the company and its member base.
  2. Communicate the real, behind-the-scenes victories that occur daily within Medi-Share.
  3. Engage prospective members to promote the unique benefits and value of Medi-Share programs.
As a multi-component campaign, Brightwork developed and produced a sub-brand, "RealHopeStories" as a series of flash-based testimonal presentations which seamlessly guide the viewer into one of several true stories from the Medi-Share member archives. In addition to the flash presentations, we developed a mini-site (realhopestories.org) as a secondary environment where viewers could learn more about the member testimonials and the stories behind them.

For the full viral effect of the campaign, we instituted a "share with a friend" component on the originating email as well as the mini-site landing page, and then posted the flash presentation strategically within the blogosphere and video on-demand facilities.
